Jupiter Artland is delighted announce the details of our upcoming exhibition of the work of Turner-Prize co-winning artist Alberta Whittle. Alberta Whittle, who will represent Scotland at next year’s Venice Biennale, produced RESET at the height of lockdown, filming across Scotland (at Jupiter Artland and her home-town Glasgow), South Africa and Barbados and responding to the immediate context of the Black Lives Matter movement, the global pandemic and climate emergency. The film skilfully connects emergent fears of contagion, moral panic and xenophobia with a call to action – a demand – to face and heal injustices and cultivate hope in hostile environments. RESET was co-commissioned and co-produced by Frieze and Forma.
