CIRCULATION(S) is the festival dedicated to emerging photography in Europe. Each year, at the Centquatre-Paris and satellite sites in France and abroad, it reveals the vitality of young creation and speaks for the diversity of photographic expressions through unique exhibitions and events.
A stepping stone for artists, a prospective and innovative laboratory of contemporary creativity, CIRCULATION(S) has become, over the past 10 years, a must-attend photography event and a trend revealer.
Since its conception in 2011, the festival has exhibited over 382 artists and attracted over 300,000 visitors with an ever-growing aspiration to be an approachable event of high standards.

DEADLINE : SEPTEMBER 13, 2020 AT MIDNIGHT
The program of the festival revolves around jury-selected works following an international call for applications, invited artists, and a focus on a European country.
Artistic Committee of the Fetart organisation will be the artistic director of the 11th edition of the festival.
Educational activities (activities for children, guided tours by the artists, projections, etc) and workshops (portfolio reviews, photo studios, etc) are organised during this large-scale exhibition and are geared towards both the public and young photographers.
The 2020 CIRCULATION(S) festival will take place at the CENTQUATRE-PARIS , a multicultural and multidisciplinary community center on the East side of Paris from March 6 to May 2 2021. The exhibition is also extended to various locations outside the walls of the Centquatre-Paris, at the same time as the festival.
The call for applications targets all European photographers including citizens and residents of Europe, starting their professional career in photography. There is no theme. Following the call for applications, around twenty photographers will be selected and exhibited within Circulation(s), thus creating an overview of the new generation of European photographers.

Tremplin pour les artistes, laboratoire prospectif et innovant de la créativité contemporaine, CIRCULATION(S) est devenu un rendez-vous incontournable de la photographie et un révélateur de tendances. DEADLINE DES CANDIDATURES : 13 SEPTEMBRE 2020 À MINUIT
La programmation s’articule autour d’une sélection d’artistes élus par un jury suite à un appel à candidatures européen, d’artistes invités et d’un focus sur un pays européen. La direction artistique est assurée par le Comité Artistique du collectif Fetart.
Autour de cette exposition d’envergure réunissant une quarantaine de photographes européens dans un espace de 2000 M2, des activités pédagogiques (parcours pour les enfants, visites commentées par les artistes, projections, etc) et des ateliers/workshops (lectures de portfolios, studio photo, etc) sont mis en place à destination du grand public et des jeunes photographes.
Le festival CIRCULATION(S) 2021 se tiendra au CENTQUATRE-PARIS, lieu culturel multidisciplinaire de l’est parisien du 6 mars au 2 mai 2021. Le festival a également l’habitude d’organiser des « Hors les murs ».
L’appel à candidatures s’adresse à tous les photographes européens ou résidant en Europe, au début de leur carrière d’auteur. Il n’y a pas de thème. À l’issue de l’appel à candidatures, une vingtaine de photographes formant un panorama de la nouvelle génération de photographes européens sera exposée au sein de CIRCULATION(S).
