The National Gallery of the Cayman Islands serves to:- promote the appreciation and practice of the visual arts, of and in the Cayman Islands and to encourage dialogue in relation to cultural heritage, national identity, Caymanian history and the history of art;- preserve Caymanian heritage through our collections; and- provide access to these collections and encourage a rich exploration of culture and self, while building self-esteem and fostering creativity among all participants.
Established in 1996, the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands (NGCI) is a vibrant arts organisation that seeks to fulfil its mission through exhibitions, artist residencies, education/outreach programmes and research projects.The NGCI operates in both a local and global arena. As part of our mission to “promote and encourage the appreciation and practice of the visual arts, of and in the Cayman Islands” we send Caymanian art and artists abroad as well as having many fine international artists visit, exhibit and work in the Cayman Islands.

La National Gallery of the Cayman Islands sert à :- promouvoir l’appréciation et la pratique des arts visuels, des et dans les îles Caïmans et à encourager le dialogue en relation avec le patrimoine culturel, l’identité nationale, l’histoire caïmanienne et l’histoire de l’art ;- préserver L’héritage caïmanais à travers nos collections ; et- donner accès à ces collections et encourager une riche exploration de la culture et de soi, tout en renforçant l’estime de soi et en encourageant la créativité chez tous les participants.
Fondée en 1996, la National Gallery of the Cayman Islands (NGCI) est une organisation artistique dynamique qui cherche à remplir sa mission par le biais d’expositions, de résidences d’artistes, de programmes d’éducation/de sensibilisation et de projets de recherche. La NGCI opère à la fois dans une arène locale et mondiale. Dans le cadre de notre mission de «promouvoir et d’encourager l’appréciation et la pratique des arts visuels, des et dans les îles Caïmans», nous envoyons l’art et les artistes caïmaniens à l’étranger et faisons visiter, exposer et travailler de nombreux artistes internationaux aux îles Caïmans.
