JOËL NANKIN offers us an artistic reflection on Afro-American and Afro-Caribbean identity constructions. He draws up an overwhelming and indisputable observation: the colonial powers leave these populations as their only legacy an abomination that he calls negosid, a negation of their own humanity. They must therefore make do with this deadly legacy. The interest of this exhibition is to show how from the most filthy barbarism always manages to reborn light, poetry, in short, the vital impetus that never disappears.
