Makemba Kunle’s exhibition titled The Gathering Storm will now take place from August 7-21 at Arnim’s Gallery, 27 Tragarete Road, Port of Spain. This “Storm” is a “suite” of drawings, ink on paper, of a civilisation in the crisis of defeat, together with a selection of miniatures executed between 2014 and 2021, said a media release. The exhibition is Kunle’s first showing in Port of Spain in just over six years. His last show was The Unfolding of an Artist: Art, Aesthetics and Revolution at the National Museum and Art Gallery in 2014.

Cette “Tempête” est une “suite” de dessins, encre sur papier, d’une civilisation en crise de défaite, ainsi qu’une sélection de miniatures exécutées entre 2014 et 2021, indique un communiqué de presse. L’exposition est la première que Kunle présente à Port of Spain depuis un peu plus de six ans. Sa dernière exposition était The Unfolding of an Artist : Art, Aesthetics and Revolution au National Museum and Art Gallery en 2014.
