Jordan Beal is in an art research residency at Tropiques Atrium (Martinique) as part of the 2022-2023 support program.
“Is it temerity, recklessness or provocation, for a photographer from the “island of flowers”, Martinique, land of flora with vivid and exuberant colors, to undermine the persistent cliché of the beauty of the flower, universal symbol of purity, innocence and the absolute, choosing to represent it the day after its ephemeral peak, at the twilight of its nothingness?”
